Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026This policy explains what information Commune Coup ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Commune Coup is an online multiplayer card game. We collect the minimum information needed to run the game, and nothing more.
What we collect
- An anonymous account identifier. When you open the app, we create an anonymous account through Firebase Authentication. This is a random identifier. We do not ask for your email address, phone number, or real name, and we have no way to know who you are from it.
- A display name. You choose a nickname shown to other players. It can be anything; it does not need to identify you. We suggest a randomly generated name by default.
- Gameplay data. Game rooms, the moves you make, quick chat messages and emote reactions you send, and win counts for the rooms you play in. Other players in your game can see your display name, your moves, and your messages, which is how the game works.
What we do not collect
- No email address, phone number, or contact details
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
- No advertising identifiers and no third party advertising or tracking SDKs
- No analytics profiles built about you
How your information is used
The data above is used for one purpose: running multiplayer games. The anonymous identifier keeps you connected to your games. The display name and gameplay data are shared with the other players at your table so the game can be played. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing.
Where your data lives
Game data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), with data hosted in Google Cloud's European multi-region (eur3). Google acts as our data processor. You can read Google's privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Your settings, such as your preferred display name, are also stored locally on your device and never leave it except as described above.
How long we keep it
Game rooms are transient: they exist to host a session and its rematches. Anonymous accounts and their display names persist so your identity at the table stays consistent between sessions. If you delete the app, the anonymous account becomes orphaned and unusable; no personal information remains attached to it because none was collected.
Deleting your data
If you would like the data associated with your anonymous account removed, email us at rami.zoohbi@gmail.com from within the app's support flow, including your display name and approximate last play time so we can locate the account. We will remove it within 30 days.
Children
Commune Coup is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app collects no contact details or real identities from any user.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
